My tests under both Windows 7 and Windows 10 show that this font is accessible in both Microsoft Office and all Adobe applications including Illustrator. To your specific case, and assuming that you are running under Windows, Century Gothic is a “look-alike” font for ITC Avant Gothic (one of the PostScript 35 base fonts) and is installed as a standard font by Microsoft in Windows. In such a case, those fonts would not be accessible to any other application if they weren't otherwise installed on your system. Note that Microsoft Office does allow for fonts with “installable” embedding privileges to be embedded within Office documents for use in those documents only. You did not indicate what platform you are on (Windows or MacOS), but regardless, any valid font that is fully and properly installed on your system and that can be accessed in Microsoft Office should be fully accessible in Adobe Illustrator.
